Senior / Staff Software Engineer, AI Engineering
About the Role
AI is changing how software gets built and how companies run and we intend to be at the front of it. We're hiring a Senior / Staff Software Engineer to build the systems that let every team at Suno move fast and scale with our rapid growth. This is greenfield work with real ownership, and you'll help shape how Suno adopts AI.
We're hiring across two AI Engineering teams. One, AI Leverage, empowers engineers and other teams to move faster at scale with agentic tools. The other, AI Ops, unlocks operations areas like support, legal, finance, and beyond with workflows and agents.
What You'll Do
- Design and build AI-powered internal systems that let everyone at Suno, from engineers to recruiters, do more with AI
- Own the underlying infrastructure that keeps our AI tooling running in production: reliable, observable, cost-effective, and flexible
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand their workflows, surface the right problems to solve, and prioritize what gets built next
- Champion best practices for agentic coding and operations, and help teams adopt them across the company
What You'll Need
Must-Haves
- You bring 5–7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
- You’ve designed, built, and shipped AI-based tools that go well beyond using a coding assistant, and you’re fluent in concepts like agent loops, memory, MCP, and evaluations
- You’re eager to learn and share agentic coding best practices and tools
- You have a track record of shipping tooling or systems that support engineering or internal business operations
- You thrive in an early-stage, 0→1 environment where the problem space is still being defined
Nice-to-Haves
- You’ve worked with agent frameworks (e.g. LangGraph) and eval or observability tooling (e.g. LangSmith, Braintrust)
- You’ve stood up operational practices for internal systems from scratch
- You’re familiar with support tooling, CRM systems, or workflow automation platforms
Not sure you meet every point above? Please apply anyway. If you're excited about this work and think you could make an impact here, we'd love to hear from you. The best candidates rarely check every box.
